MENA Council Meeting with Ambassador Ron Kirk, United States Trade Representative-USTR (Cairo-March 23, 2010)

AmCham Egypt hosted a MENA Council special meeting with Ambassador Ron Kirk, United States Trade Representative- USTR on March 23 prior to the special luncheon held in his honor. The meeting was attended by Mr. Salim Zeenni, President of AmCham Lebanon, and Chairman of the AmCham MENA Regional Council, Mr. Mustafa Mustafa, CEO of AmCham Jordan, Ambassador Margaret Scobey, U.S. Ambassador to Egypt, AmCham Egypt Board Members, and members of the MENA Council Secretariat.

TDuring the meeting MENA Council representatives briefed USTR on the Council’s efforts in promoting trade and investment between the MENA region and the United States, fostering regional cooperation, as well as coordinating efforts among AmChams to promote greater business opportunities between the United States and the Middle East North Africa region.
