Scale and Strategic Importance of Web Summit Qatar
Web Summit Qatar forms part of the global Web Summit series, which hosts leading technology events around the world, including Web Summit Rio in South America, Web Summit Vancouver in North America, and RISE in Asia. As the region’s largest and fastest-growing technology event, Web Summit Qatar brought together over 30,274 attendees, 1,637 startups, and 931 investors from 127 countries, and facilitated more than 77 memorandams of understanding between Qatari entities and global technology leaders.
The Summit hosted an unparalleled concentration of global technology multinationals, venture capital firms, financial institutions, and innovation enablers, with nearly every major player in the global technology ecosystem represented on the exhibition floor. This made Web Summit Qatar a central marketplace for conversations about innovation, investment, and partnership-building across sectors.
Given the scale, seniority, and global reach of the summit, AmCham’s presence was strategically important. Participation ensured that AmCham Egypt and the wider AmCham network were positioned at the heart of the global innovation ecosystem, actively engaging with regional private-sector leaders, multinational corporates, investors, and emerging startups.
