Tuesday, August 24, 2021

CIPE, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, AmCham MENA, and the Business Partners to Convince coalition (BP2C) co-hosted a webinar on August 24 to discuss the alarmingly low rates of COVID vaccination in the MENA region and the private sector’s critical role in encouraging vaccine acceptance in the workplace. As the pandemic rages on and continues to exact a heavy toll on the economies of the region, CIPE supports business leadership in mitigating the effects of the crisis and promoting solutions in the policy space and in the workplace.

Panel: Steve Rosenlund, Deputy Regional Director of the Middle East and North Africa at CIPE; Abby Shapiro, Executive Vice President of the U.S. Council for International Business; Samir Khalil, Executive Director for the Middle East and Africa at PhRMA; Magued el Sayed, Head of Market Access, Pricing, and Government Relations at Sanofi; Matthias Thorns, Deputy Secretary-General of the International Organization of Employers
